lyrics

Jack came up to me asking for some help
Got himself in another bind
With this girl named Suzy Silk
Wife came home, found Suzy and Jack all up in the bed
Jack says if his wife had found his shotgun they'd both surely be dead
I shook my head
shook my head

I said "Jack you better go back to that woman that you love"
"Suzy may be what you want right now"
"but she don't matter in the long run"
"A thousand roses for a million tears is the least that you can do"
"Jack you better get on those knees, beg that woman to stay with you"
"And you better be true"
"Yeah you better stay true"

Few weeks later Jack came back
Smiling ear to ear
Wife said she's forgive him and Jack was in the clear
I smiled
Pat Jack on the back
Said, "That was nice to hear"
He grinned a little louder and said "ain't nothng to fear"
"Let's grab a beer"
So we drank some beers
A whole lot of beer
Way too much beer

Me and Jack at the Lorelei
Just sipping on that milk
Three sheets to the wind and then in walks Suzy Silk
Suzy smiles
Jack returns
Throws him right off track
Wonder what his old lady is gonna say
When tonight he don't come back
Bet she attacks
I bet she attacks

A couple days later Jack came to the dock
With a couple black eyes
For the couple of rocks
That finally knocked a bit of sense in there
And popped Jack out his socks
No one ever saw Suzy again
But I don't think she'll be stealing anymore men
Jack's wife knows how to hide a body
And I bet she'd do it again
